DIY Freezer Paper Graphic Tee

Make your own DIY Freezer Paper Graphic tee with a free cut file I designed in this week’s Silhouette Saturday!

I love a brand of tea called Honest Tea and there’s always a quote under the cap. This was quote was on one recently and I couldn’t help but think it would make an awesome graphic tee for my son.

He is pretty happy with it…

Here’s what I used for this project:

Step One: Wash and Dry your tee.

Step Two: Download and open the cut file. Size it to fit your tee. Mirror your image as shown below if using freezer paper like I did.

Step Three: Place freezer paper, shiny side up on your light hold mat. The light hold mat is awesome for working with thin paper like this. Cut with your CAMEO using the vellum settings but if your blade isn’t new-ish use a blade level of 2.

Step Four: Using a dry iron on the cotton setting, iron the stencil shiny side down to your tee. Don’t forget the few letter centers!

Step Five: Lightly apply paint with a spouncer. Carefully peel stencil off while paint is still damp.

The Silhouette Hook Tool is super handy for getting up letter centers.

Step 5: Allow to dry at least 4 hours and then iron over the design using a pressing cloth to heat set the paint. (Iron settings: dry/cotton).

Allow 72 hours before washing/drying.

Easy and fun!

Happy creating!
