DIY Watercolor Print: Do All Things With Love

DIY Watercolor Print: Do All Things With Love | Use this free hand-lettered template to make your own typographical watercolor print! bydawnnicole.com

I know you guys are loving the coloring pages right now but I thought it would be fun to switch it up a bit this week and do a hand-lettered template for a DIY Typographical Watercolor Print. What I love so much about watercolors is that you don’t need to be an artist. Watercolors just look pretty no matter how new you are to using them.

Here’s What You’ll Need for This Project:

Let’s Paint!

Print the template onto letter sized paper. The print is sized 8×10, so you can trim it down and frame your artwork after you paint it. It has faint gray lines so you know where to paint but they won’t stand out after you’re done!

I started by doing each line of letters in a “main” color: purple, blue, green. After it dried it went in and added blue-purple and blue-green to give it a bit of an ombré look. Like I mentioned, watercolors tends to look pretty no matter what so have fun and play with them to get the look you want. Don’t love it? Print a new one and try again!

You don’t even need fancy brushes! I often borrow my kids Crayola ones from Target shown below! What’s important is that you’ll need a small one for the detail work of the smaller letters. The orange one below was the perfect size.
