How 3 Different Perfumes Gave Me 3 Different Personalities

Like primer and foundation, cleanser and moisturizer, donuts and fashion bloggers, scent and memory are a deeply intertwined duo. That may sound like a grandiose statement, but it’s actually science. The olfactory bulb is part of the brain's limbic system (an area so closely linked to memory and feeling it's sometimes called the "emotional brain"), so a scent can conjure up memories and powerful responses almost instantaneously.

That made me start wondering how a certain type of scent might link to your mood, or even personality. To test the correlation between how I smelled and how I acted, I decided to wear three very different perfumes over the course of the week and observe what happened.
