How We Organize Ourselves

We began our 5th Unit of Inquiry, How We Organize Ourselves, over the last two weeks. Through this unit we will be investigating shared responsibilities of a group and how they may ease the achievement of a common goal. This sure is a fancy way to say that we will be looking at TEAMWORK, COOPERATION, CONFLICT, COMPROMISE and NEGOTIATION. Already we have found that being a part of a community is a big responsibility!

We were surprised to see an amazing pipe band that came to visit on St. Patrick's Day. Talk about cooperation and teamwork! Everyone had to do their part to sound as wonderful as they did.

Look at all those excited faces as they listened!!

Later in the day Mrs. Snyder's class used cooperation skills to create giant leprechauns! Our Explorers were great communicators and very open-minded as they created a plan to get their project done.

The teamwork continues!

Teamwork was definitely used to make a pet store in Mrs. Humphrey and Mrs. Tayor's class. Such thinkers to come up with and organize this super idea!
