City Of Love: 7 Things You Can’t Miss In Paris

This week Kelly is back with yet another amazing destination. Today she’s giving us some tips for the city of love – Paris! Here are Kelly’s top picks of romantic things to do in the City of Love.

J’adore Paris! Your Guide to the City of Lights

#1 – Head to Laduree for tea and macaroons

The first thing I do when I arrive in Paris is head for Laduree (the Royale location is my favourite) to swoon over the pastel-coloured sweets and satisfy my sugar cravings. Treat yourself to one of their luxury candles or bag charms to bring a little bit of classic Paris home with you.

#2 – Check into a boutique hotel that’s both chic and utterly Parisian

Hotel Chavanel is the perfect Paris hotel. It’s located in the prestigious 8th arrondissement, just a few steps from La Madeleine and Rue Saint Honore. The rooms are decorated with a fresh, modern design with cashmere blankets and Nuxe bath products. The convenient location makes visiting sights easy, but with rooms this nice it’s hard to leave.

#3 – Dinner and drinks at Buddha Bar

Walk down the stairs into another world for your dinner reservation at Buddha Bar. You might not have expected to eat sushi in Paris but you’re not going to want to miss their famous “Rainbow New Style” roll. After eating head upstairs to the lounge to sip on a “So Be @ Miami” cocktail while the DJ plays some legendary chill house music. This is where you go to see, be seen, dance and indulge.

#4 – Start your next morning with a “Café au Lait”

With a coffee in hand, stroll along the Seine River. The riverbanks are wonderfully lively at night, but they’re tranquil and serene during the day. Stop at a crepe stand along the way for a casual breakfast. Hop on a river tour to follow the river all the way to the Eiffel Tower before heading to Jardins du Trocadero.

#5 – End your afternoon with some designer shopping on Rue Saint Honore

Rue Saint Honore is the best street in the city for shopping. You’ll find stores for Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and so much more. Even if you can’t afford to splurge on designer goods they’re still worth a visit. Some of these stores are more beautiful then the clothes they sell!

Bonus tip: Don’t miss the stunning chandelier inside Roberto Cavalli!

#6 – For dinner head to Les Ombres for an unforgettable night

Be sure to reserve a table on the terrace for one of the most amazing dinner views in the world. The Eiffel Tower is only a block away and this front-row seat gives you an uninterrupted view of those sparkling nighttime lights. Time your dinner so you arrive around 8:30pm, this way you’ll have a glass of champagne in your hand when the Eiffel Tower lights start sparkling at 9pm.

#7 – Schedule a photoshoot for the ultimate souvenir

Hands down the best thing I’ve ever done in Paris was a personal photoshoot with The Paris Photographer. We met at the crack of dawn and got some stunning shots near the Eiffel Tower without any crowds in the background. Go as couple, as a family or even with a group of girlfriends! I promise these magazine-worthy pictures will be proudly framed in your house forever.
