Current Celebration: My birthday tomorrow and our friends’ wedding on Saturday—lots to celebrate this weekend!
Current Confession: I’m so glad that I took monthly photos of Quinn (with Murphy) to see how much he changed over the course of his first year, but I’m so thankful we’re done with them now. Once Quinn was a lot more mobile, it was always quite a challenge to get him to sit still and snap a good pic. I pretty much gave up on 11 months and 1 year, as you can see below. We were over it. Haha!
Current Product Find: Andalou Naturals. I feel like my esthetician let me in on a big secret when she told me about this line of beauty products. It uses Fruit Stem Cell Science with natural, fair-trade ingredients with a minimum of 70% certified organic content AND they are super affordable, like totally reasonable prices. I use the Creamy Cleanser ($9), Revitalize Serum ($20), and Night Repair Cream ($18), and I LOVE them all.
Also, Oh My Yog Madagascar Vanilla Bean Yogurt with chocolate chips. Mmm! I’ve eaten it three times already this week.
Current Plan: Finish out the school year, spend a week in Oregon with family, come home and start packing.
Current Book: I’m still reading 10% Happier, but I’m finishing the final pages. People, this book has been LIFECHANGING for me. Life. Changing. The waterfall metaphor alone has made my life better. If you’re a crazy/stressed-out/brain-never-stops kind of person, you MUST read this book.
Current Purchase: ALLTHECLOTHES from Gymboree. Quinn and I went on a little shopping spree the other day. There were some amazing sales, and I had a coupon for 20% off my entire order, so I feel like I bought one of everything: shoes, camo hoodie, shark jammies, robot jammies, anchor patchwork shorts, funky leaf shorts, dino tee (below), and a few other things that I can’t find online. Quinn is going to be one styling boy this summer!
Current Holy Moly: Quinn playing basketball. When did my little boy learn to walk, bend over, pick up a basketball, and throw it in the air?! Holy moly. I feel like it happened overnight.
Current Show: Parenthood. We’re just starting the final season, and I can’t get enough of it. I literally have dreams about the characters.
Current Want: Brunch with Mal and Quinn at Scarlet Oak Tavern to celebrate my birthday.
Current Obsession: A capsule wardrobe. I am all over this idea and can’t wait to build one.
