We Bend the Rules on the Weekend

This post is sponsored by Similac as part of the Sisterhood of Motherhood campaign.

I love this new initiative for the Sisterhood of Motherhood campaign: It’s called #UniteMondays, and it’s great. On the weekends, moms (and dads) sometimes take a break. They relax their standards and even bend their own rules when it comes to their little ones. It’s no big deal, but when Monday rolls around, we might feel a little guilty about it. BUT we shouldn’t feel guilty about it, so this new initiative encourages moms and dads to confess to any rule they bent that they shouldn’t be judge for. We want all parents to rally around each other because we all get it—and, of course, we’re all in this together.

#UniteMondays is right up our alley since our family definitely lightens up when the weekend rolls around. That said, here are some ways we bend the rules on the weekend!

We wear pajamas in public.

In fact, sometimes we’ll wear our pajamas all day long—only to change into a clean pair right before bed.

We eat pancakes as big as our head for breakfast.

We go shoeless.

And pants-less!

We watch TV before bed.

And sometimes we even bring toys to bed.

Question of the Day

Your turn!

In what ways do you relax your standards and bend your own rules on the weekend?
