Mardis Gras Glitter Gels!

Hello polished friends! It's Fat Tuesday and I have some purple, green and gold nails for you to celebrate! These are glittery and party-ready! Whenever I want a super glitter look, I turn to

this tutorial from Lexi Martone and my OPI GelColor system...it creates a stunning, ultra-glitter manicure!

Since I first tried this technique, I (and my clients!) have been hooked on it. I've shared manicures like this on the blog before (here & here). I start with a thick layer of OPI GelColor Base Coat and cure in my OPI LED Light for three seconds. I use a fluffy cosmetics brush to apply the glitter directly to the nail and cure for the full 30 seconds. Then, I seal in the glitter with multiple coats of OPI GelColor Top Coat, curing each layer in my LED light. This technique is actually really simple and quick! For this look I used Martha Stewart Craft Glitter in Tanzanite, Heliodor, and Citrine.
