Learning To Contour

I've never been one to contour as I've seen it done horribly wrong so many times that I was just too hesitant to try it myself. Though I had never attempted, I had always wanted to learn to contour and eventually after asking many ladies at the beauty counters to teach me, I've started doing it myself.
Reading through this contouring post by Grace, I started little by little choosing products and brushes that may work for me. The Burberry Beauty Nude Glow Natural Blush was recommended to me at the Burberry counter as a natural contour shade. It is dark enough to add a shadow to my medium skin tone but light enough that it is very forgiving. I take it on the Real Techniques Contour Brush and lightly sweep it under my cheekbones and blend up. For anyone just starting out with contouring, I would highly recommend this combination as it is so easy to work with.
For a more defined look, I've been trying the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo in 02 Golden*. It has an interesting gel-powder texture that is easy to blend and pigmented. You do have to use a light hand with this one as it is much darker than the Burberry offering and can give quite a strong contoured look. I use it with the Make Up For Ever 156 Large Flat Blush Brush* as it is quite a firm and dense brush to deposit the product but fluffy and tapered around the edges enough to do serious blending.
I still don't contour every day but I definitely try to incorporate it into my makeup routine when I have the time as I like the difference it makes. Do you contour and if so, what products do you use?
