Wow! My first cover ever: GLAMOUR

Ho-ly smokes! So here it is… My first magazine cover ever!

I’ll honestly admit that I’ve already been in three bookstores in two days, just to see how it looks (—> which means stare at the piles of GLAMOUR in total disbelief and with a huge smile on my face. It might look creepy, actually).

Let me just start by saying that never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d ever grace the cover of one of the biggest international fashion titles. (Even just for the simple fact that I’m about twenty centimeters shorter than the average model. Right.). I was around ten years old when I started opening my moms ELLE’s before she got to them (she didn’t love it) and decided I wanted to become a fashion writer.

Although I didn’t fully get everything, reading about other women’s closets and write-ups about superstars fascinated me. I quickly understood the magic that could happen on a single page.

Ever since, I devoured my own ELLEgirl’s and GLAMOURS and wouldn’t have believed you if you told me that over a decade later, I would get a WhatsApp message from GLAMOUR’s fashion editor to be one of their cover girls. It’s so incredible to be doing this with four girls that mean a lot to me and that I’ve known for years. Also: imagine the near impossible mission we put her through to get all five of us bloggers in a room together. Some of us got off an airplane that night – I had just landed from London – others had to fly that day… We were in hair and make-up at 6.30 in the morning).

Long story short; I just wanted to share with you how much this milestone means (we’re all freaking out a bit!) and tell you that I’m grateful for everything and everyone that’s crossed my path in six years of doing this. Wow! And for now… there’s another bookstore waiting ; )
