Affordable Concealers: L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer Review

Hey Luvs,

Hope you all are doing lovely and feeling great! So--after debating for a couple of months, I finally broke down and purchased the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers! I was hearing so many good things that I had to test them out to see if they actually lived up to what everyone said. So far I am loving these concealers!

Continue reading for swatches and the rest of the review.

The L.A. Girl Pro Conceal line has an array of shades (18 to be exact) that makes it appropriate for any skin tone! I definitely wasn't buying all 18 shades, so before I made my purchase I did some research to determine which shades would work best for me when concealing, highlighting, and contouring were concerned. I ended up purchasing nine shades: Dark Cocoa, Espresso, Beautiful Bronze, Toast, Fawn, Toffee, Warm Honey, Cool Tan, & Medium Beige from ikatehouse.com for $1.99 a piece! Don't you just love that price?!

Here are the swatches of the shades that I purchased. In case you were wondering the concealers come in 0.25 oz (8g) tubes.

The concealers are very thick, blendable, lightweight, and have great pigmentation and coverage. They also have a brush tip applicator which makes it very easy to apply the product directly onto the skin. I found that this product dries very fast and it's best to blend it into the skin with a moist beauty blender/makeup sponge. I used E.L.F.'s Makeup Mist & Set as my moistening agent.

After experimenting with these concealers for a few weeks, I came to the conclusion that for my skin tone:
-Dark Cocoa works the best for contouring. This shade gives me a very mild contour.
-Beautiful Bronze works best as a concealer.
-Fawn & Cool Tan work best as highlights. Fawn is a very pretty and natural looking highlight, and Cool Tan brings the dramatics and "umph".

Below are pics of a fresh-faced "no makeup" makeup look I did using Fawn as a highlight, Dark Cocoa to contour, and Black Radiance's True Complexion BB Cream as my "foundation." As mentioned, Dark Cocoa is a very subtle contour on me and Fawn gives me a very natural looking highlight...so nothing too vivid here. I set my face with translucent powder.

Overall here are my thoughts on the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers:
Pros
Good coverage
Great pigmentation
Lightweight feel on face
Long lasting pigmentation
Easy to blend (I found that its easiest to use a makeup sponge)
Brush tip applicator makes it easy to apply product directly onto skin

Cons
Dries Fast
Very thick
Plastic wrap around packaging is hard to remove

Overall I would definitely purchase these concealers again! The price and the quality of the concealers are amazing. Click here to purchase from ikatehouse.com, and here
