Just in time for Valentine's Day...
I just completed award-winning romance author Phyllis Bourne's 2014 blog design. She was in the mood for something clean and minimalist. So we decided to forgo the illustration, which is not something I'm asked very often, here at Chic & Sassy!!! So I decided to have fun with a handmade type. I took out my ink and brushes and played and made a mess LOL!!!!
My final choice, was this bleeding heart effect on the word romance created using a technique we all remember from kindergarden… blowing through a straw to make the ink move! Sometimes the simplest techniques makes for the greatest impact! For a little extra chic, once on the computer, I added a pink metallic effect to the word and pasted it across a close up of an open book. The end result is a very fun, bold and chic look for a superb woman and writer!!! Her latest book is coming out on the 18th of february so if your into romance or just need a little passion on top of a motorcycle check out Every Road to you !
