What to Wear to Church: Sequin Sweatshirt + Distressed Jeans

I guess I am what is called a contemporary or modern Christian. I attend a non-denominational church with a pentecostal doctrine that preaches the traditional gospel. It is quite liberal, nothing like the old school Pentecostal church I grew up in; where I was not allowed to wear makeup, pants and jewelry even cutting your hair wasn't allowed.

My current church doesn't have any rules on dress code, however because of my own personal relationship with The Lord and the upbring I had in my childhood Pentecostal church, I have my own dress code I go by. It is mostly based on respect, reverence for the Lord and my own personal comfort. With that being said here are my general rules on what not to wear to church....
  • Too tight
  • Too short
  • Too low
  • Too exposed
Other than that I basically wear whatever I want to service, the end goal is always to look pretty. I personally enjoy dressing up for The Lord and looking my best. Granted there are those days I don't even want to get out of bed and push myself to go (because what is 3hrs of my week for Jesus) and even on those Sundays that I don't put much effort, I still fall back to my general rules on what not to wear to church.

If you did not notice this whole outfit is practically from JCP it is funny because as a child/tween it was like an old people store to me haha. But now as an adult, more recently in the last couple of years, I cannot seem to get out of that place. Between the selection, sales, coupons and rewards what is not to love! My sequin graphic sweatshirt was only $3-$5(I can't remember).

P.S I promise I will get this DIY Beanie up soon!

P.P.S I am working on getting an Apple MAC to ensure I have a more reliable, improved system to run my blog and all that it entails which includes my YouTube channel. If you would like to help me keep Chica Fashion running and enhance all that it is because you love it so much then I would greatly appreciate all contributions.
