You know I’m always down for trying something new on CCF — whether it’s how to eat your way to better skin and whiter teeth or smiling hearts that will make you smile right back — it can’t be about fashion all the time. Today’s post actually does involve fashion, as it’s about shoes (our favorite subject), but these are way cooler than any other footwear out there (even my beloved Givenchy slip-ons)…
I’ve been wanting to write more about the art scene, especially here in Chicago, as fashion is a form of art and like I said, there’s more to life than just fashion. Now what if you could literally combine the two and create something that can be worn everyday (and not some crazy fashun piece you can only wear with hopes of meeting Tommy Ton at fashion week)? Well thanks to a really awesome Chicago-based company, it’s all so real.
I’ve known about Bucketfeet for a few years now, as I know they’re local and they make affordable sneakers, but that’s really all I knew. Once I looked into them more, it’s pretty exciting to see so many different artists from all over the world create a unique pair of shoes to share their creativity in a different (and actually wearable) way. Although the artists come from various different cities, I have to put the Chi City in ChiCityFashion every once in a while, and this is going to do just that. Here’s a look at the Bucketfeet sneakers you can buy right now, designed by Chicago-based artists. Added bonus — they’re all under $80…and super badass.

Does it get more CHI CITY fashion than that? I don’t think so. I enjoy supporting local artists and this is just a unique way to do so. You can check out more of the Bucketfeet artists here. I highly recommend watching the Sentrock video. His story is truly inspiring.
