CO Restaurant in Charleston

A few friends and I went downtown yesterday for Second Sunday and we decided to check out CO, an incredible Vietnamese Fusion restaurant on King Street. I’d been there once before, but had only sat at the bar, drank mimosas, and ordered an app (if you’re looking for an appetizer recommendation, the Crispy Chicken Wontons are yummy!), so I’d been dying to go back and try more–and I was not disappointed.

CO is an adorable restaurant with a rustic exposed brick wall and a great view onto King Street. It’s a skinny building, so be careful not to miss it! When you walk in, you’re greeted by the bartender with the option to sit at the bar or head upstairs to the dining room. We walked upstairs and grabbed a great table right by the window.

If you plan on going to CO, I recommend going on a Sunday when they’re having their $3 guava mimosa special. Their mimosas are amazing and are the reason that I have been wanting to go back. I ordered the Pho Ga (pictured above–shredded chicken and rice vermicelli in broth), two friends split the Pad Thai, and the fourth got the Beef Pho and we were all impressed. It was a lot of food for the price, the service was great, and everything was delicious. We’ll definitely be going back!
