Review: Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Firming/Sculpting Eye Creme

I am a believer in eye creams. It doesn’t matter what the brand says about the eye cream (usually exaggerated) so as long as I feel comfortable with it, I’d use it. Also, it takes consistency and time for eye creams to work. I’ve been using eye creams diligently since I was 25 years old, yes, daily and nightly, and I don’t regret it one bit. In fact, I have my mom to thank, who nagged me about the importance of skincare. Let me tell you, I’m training Chloe and Ashlyn young. Today, let me just briefly tell you about Estee Lauder’s Resilience Lift Firming / Sculpting Eye Creme.

Like most eye creams, this comes in a tub and consists of 15ml of product. I can’t remember how much I purchased it for though, I’m sorry! This eye cream is suitable for all skin types, and it promises to lift, firm and help define the look of your eyes by boosting your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production. Truthfully, nearly all anti ageing skincare say the same thing. Boost collagen. Increase skin density… Younger looking… bla bla bla. So in the end, how does it actually work?

I don’t see the lines on my eyes disappear, that’s for sure. I don’t expect them to. I only want a cream that slows down the process of ageing, one that moisturizes my eyes and prevents them from getting dry and itchy. This cream does just that. Of course, I can’t tell if it slows down the ageing process, but you know, only time will tell I use this daily and nightly and I’m now half way through the tub. I like Estee Lauder eye creams because they don’t irritate my eyes, and they are never oily or greasy.

When I apply makeup around my eyes even after applying this eye cream, my eye makeup doesn’t melt faster, the concealers don’t sit in the fine lines. That’s also an important thing to note, if you apply makeup in the day. You wouldn’t want an eye cream that’s so rich, it melts your concealer and gives you extra eye goo. Bleh! Would I recommend this eye cream? Sure, why not. I don’t have anything bad to say about this cream but it didn’t blow my socks off either. I’m always curious to try new eye creams and I have my eye on the NEW ANR eye cream next. Have you guys tried that?

Do you use eye creams regularly? I get really preachy when it comes to being consistent with skincare. If you believe in using eye creams, what are you using now?

xoxo Lily
