Unlike most aspiring fashion bloggers I have real-world limitations that I work with on a daily basis. I’m a working mom that can’t justify spending the equivalent of my car payment on an item of clothing. I don’t have the most ideal figure (5′ 2 1/2″ tall, 142 lbs.). I like sleeping in as long as possible — thus, spending hours to get ready to start my day is very unlikely. My look needs to be professional, but I want to try to avoid looking boring and dated. I am a recovering addict of black clothing. Bravely, I’ve begun branching out into brown and grey. For some, these ramblings may sound very un-fashionable. But hey, this is me. Slowly but surely I’m learning to sneak a little fun into my personal style and dress in a way that flatters me without cutting into our food budget.
Since social media and blogs are here to stay, I thought I’d finally roll up my sleeves and learn the fine art about blogging in a hands-on fashion. With all of the baggage I’ve mentioned above, follow me on my journey to find my own personal style in a budget-friendly way.
