My First Ever Facial at T-Secret

Here I am having just turned 30, been immersed in the beauty world for almost 8 years and last month was my first time having a facial. How insane is that? I’ve had a slew of fabulous massages and body treatments. I’ve waxed this, colored that, plucked and experienced fabulous manicures and pedicures. So why am I just NOW having a facial? One reason, y’all…

I was afraid. I know, I know. I consider myself to have a high pain tolerance but everything I ever heard about facials seemed just…scary. When Jane from T-Secret invited me out for a complimentary facial treatment, I was all kinds of hesitant. However, she got gloooowing reviews from my fellow beauty bloggin’ sisters Catherine and Nidia so I figured it couldn’t hurt. And guess what…it didn’t?

Jane pampered my skin in ways that I didn’t think were possible. From the steaming to to the gentle exfoliation, the hydrating mask, the extracting and massage, every moment she spent on my face was pleasant! But pause for a second…does one REALLY need to change clothes for a facial? I didn’t think so but considering the steaming process will leave you soaked and likely soak up your clothes, sliding into the robe makes sense. I’ve always thought of a facial as just a treatment for my face but T-Secret really treated it as an entire body experience. Which I loved! I have no pictures to prove this because the bad blogger that is me was more focused on the experience than capturing the experience. Ha!

And be glad that I don’t have pictures of the steaming process that produced a very gruesome nosebleed for me. It looked like something out of a murder scene and Jane was incredibly helpful and nice about it. Which she didn’t have to be because I’m not kidding…that nose bleed was like…OMG, how am I still living right now?

T-Secret was founded by Madame Tamahra, a French Chemist and Cosmetologist and so all of the products are natural-based. You won’t find any harsh chemicals and treatments here as T-Secret truly believes in treating the skin as naturally as possible. Yes girls…T-Secret prices high but for good reason as when used together, these products really do transform the skin over time. I’ll do a follow up over Instagram in a few weeks to let you know if I’ve seen any dramatic improvements but for now, I can definitely see myself purchasing the above as they just feel darn good on the skin.
