A Scandinavian Christmas Dinner in the Greenhouse
Dinner in a greenhouse may be my new life goal, guys. I’ve always loved these types spaces, but set with candles, greenery and natural stylings for a winter night, they’re even more special.
See how these two little escapes offer up the most magical setting for a Scandinavian Christmas dinner in a Greenhouse…
My favorite part about this orangery is that worn white interior that makes it so bright and lovely inside! Tons of candles and layers of fur add a little warmth to what I’m sure is a chilly little room.
In the other corner, a bare tree and a table full of treats for guests.
I love the way they decorated the windows with sweet natural garlands, too!
In the other greenhouse, a bit of a warmer setting, with a fireplace!
The stylists use a similar trick in both of these settings – a bed of pine tree clippings serves as a runner on the table or buffet. Such an easy way to bring in some natural elements! Most groceries offer up swag that you can buy like this, or Christmas tree lots will also let you take home clippings for free!
Another sweet trick for the table – velvet ribbon around your utensils, or use it for adorning place cards. Either way it always feels luxurious. Those cabbage dishes are also on my dream home list!
Here, the serving table includes a little beaker for what I can only imagine is mulled wine. Casual jars and collected crystal glasses are perfect for this imperfect setting.
Do you have a favorite of the two settings? It’s hard for me to choose! I don’t typically go for such a classic green and red palette but if I did, this is definitely how I’d do it:

While most of the table is quite traditional, I love how they added some modern glassware to the mix in the second setting, so for my own table I’d do the same not only with the glassware, but the candlesticks too! Go heavy on the linens and layer in some greens, and you’ll be all set.
