(Outfit Diary) Le tri

It seems so obvious, but never occured to me that once I started the process of culling my wardrobe, I would not only be totally okay with having less pieces to choose from in my closet, but actually take satisfaction from having a wardrobe full of pieces I truly love. Live and learn, I suppose - I may have been slow to catch on, but better late than never. My closet cleanout is still far from over - which is a bit ridiculous since it's been a year in progress, but the fact remains that there is a three-foot high pile of rejected pieces in my bedroom, waiting to find new homes. In the interim, I look to pinterest for closet inspirations and find myself craving something like this; utter simplicity in shades of black, white, grey, navy and camel. The closet itself will come with time - but for the moment, I notice that most of my outfits seem to look like they could have come from that closet, anyway. At this point, it's just a matter of getting rid of the extra clutter.
