(Travel Diary) Café Kitsuné

The second I spotted a Café Kitsuné coffee cup on instagram, I knew I had to visit the cafe that the iconic French brand, Maison Kitsuné, had opened in the Palais Royal. I admit, the fact that, on a frigid morning, the cafe opened late because one of the baristas was doing her make-up - in full view of everyone waiting outside - didn't thrill me. And I was baffled by the fact neither barista seemed at all comfortable speaking in French, although they seemed able to manage taking orders without any problems. But despite that, there's no denying the charm of the tiny cafe inside the old tailoring and weaving shop... although considering the very limited seating capacity, I might recommend taking your coffee to go if the weather permits!

Dès le premier moment où j'ai vu une tasse Café Kitsuné sur instagram, je savais qu'il fallait que je prends un the dans le café que la marque Française, Maison Kitsuné, avait ouvert dans le Palais Royal. J'avoue, l'ouverture tardive du café le matin de ma visite, surtout comme il faisait hyper froid et comme on voyait la serveuse qui se maquillait à l'intérieure, ne m'a pas trop plu. Et le fait que les deux serveuses ne parlaient pas français m'a un peu dérouté, bien qu'on m’a servi du thé lorsque je l'ai demandé en anglais. Mais malgré ces petits contretemps, je ne peux nier le charme du petit café dans l'ancien atelier Jules Tournier et Fils... bien que étant donne la manque de places assises, je vous conseille de prendre votre café à emporter s'il fait beau !
