Chanel Beauty Looks to Nature For Autumn

Ladies, I have an important announcement: the Chanel autumn 2015 makeup collection has arrived on counters, and it’s irresistible. So beautiful, in fact, that I couldn’t resist sharing the official imagery, which illustrates all of the elegant colours sourced from nature. Here’s everything you need to know about the Les Automnales collection…

The limited-edition Entrelacs eyeshadow palette (above) is the centrepiece of the collection, drawing on the colours found in autumn landscapes. The graphic motif is a reflection of the stained glass windows found in the church Mademoiselle Chanel used to visit as a young girl. And it’s believed those interlacing designs inspired the iconic CC logo found on Chanel products.

There are three new nail colours for fall. Châtaigne, a rich chocolate brown (limited edition); Écorce Sanguine, a classic brick red; and, my personal favourite, Vert Obscur, a deep bottle green.

Now that Autumn is approaching it’s time to put the bronzers to one side and start using blusher again. The limited-edition Alezane blush is a great shade to transition with, as the rose gold notes really warm the complexion. I also think it looks beautiful when worn as an eyeshadow.

The much-loved Illusion D’Ombre cream eyeshadows are introduced in two new shades. The smokey, slate grey will become part of the permanent collection, and there’s also a limited-edition shimmering orange hue (Rouge-Gorge). The latter looks a little intimidating in the jar, but it blends into a beautiful warm sheen, and apparently looks brilliant against blue eyes.

For me, the Tissé d’Automne quad is the highlight of the Les Automnales collection. Makeup artists always suggest using green tones on brown eyes, but the look can feel a little over-the-top for everyday wear. However, that’s not the case with Chanel’s khaki palette. Every one of these eyeshadows is incredibly wearable, and can be worn day or night. I’m obsessed.

And finally we have the lipsticks… There are four new colour launches for fall, which are divided up between the Rogue Coco Shine and Rogue Allure collections. The rosy nude shades are seriously pretty!

The Chanel Autumn 2015 makeup collection is on counter now. Which products are catching your eye?

P.S. Lindsay Lohan loves her orange eyeshadow and Chanel’s hero lipsticks.
