This weekend Mariah and I attempted to bake some nata. Nata is a portuguese custard pastry that is absolutely divine. We used
this recipe, which I chose mostly because it was funny.
We substituted homemade pastry crust for pre-made puff pastry that we cut in to squares. Next time I would use plain old pie crust. The puff was too puffy, and there wasn't enough room for the custard. Still, they turned out quite well, and I'm looking forward to experimenting with these further.
