It seems quite peculiar when I think of how dependent on our everyday-life elements we can get. When my Internet supplier decided to cut me out from the Web really without any reason, I thought I'd go mad quite shortly. And I've always considered myself as a Web person. Being forced to stay offline in anticipation for reconnection, which didn't actually happen, I needed to find my consolation in substitutes of different kinds. So I went to Greece, where I saw some heavenly beaches and met some heartfelt people coming from all around the world, I read more books and saw more films than usually (including: Goodbye to Berlin, On the Road, To Kill a Mockingbird, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Sullivan's Travels, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Shadow of a Doubt, To Catch a Thief and, my very latest revelation, Tim Burton's Dark Shadows). To step outside my hitherto comfort zones of the Web seemed like a life challenge in the beginning, but soon I found out that it only meant stepping into another ones. Limitations are stimulating, so I found my alternatives quite fast. I've even written my very first short story, and edited the photograph you can see above. I've been listening to (and crying to) some old good music. I've been more aware of myself, I reckon. But I'm going to stop here since it looks like I'm counting all the disadvantages of spending time online. Like, being offline gives you so much more time for all that wonderful things. Well, the point is, Internet is one of them, and it's thoroughly good to be back!
On a side note, I'm currently working on the second installment of my yearbook. I'm very excited about it and enjoy every single moment spent on putting it all together. It will be out in two days, on the solemn day of Halloween!
