AMERICAN RESCUE SQUAD ON THE RISE

The highly anticipated superhero spoof, American Rescue Squad, is having it's WORLD PREMIERE at the Northern Virginia International Film Festival. Essentially this full length movie is Elliot Diviney's satire on everything comic book related -- from The Dark Knight to The Avengers -- and it will be showing at the aforementioned venue for one day only. But don't worry, if you can't catch it, stay tuned for further details on where you'll be able to see it next.

Picture the scene. A group of mysterious villains known as 'The Alliance' sets a trap for the Taxpayer (Jimmy Keebs). And eventually, suprise-suprise, they manage to imprison him, torture him, and make plans to publicly crucify him in the process.

Yet, in defiance of this dastardly deed, a local janitor who goes by the name of Richard Randolph (Tony Czech) rounds up some retired Superheroes, and together, they hatch a plan to rescue the Taxpayer.

But of course, the villains in question won't allow that to happen, will they? So in turn they stage a public rally, where many citizens come to watch the Taxpayer's brazen crucifixion. Prompting, once again, the heroes to invade the bad guy's lair, where a large battle quickly ensues. Various comedic and action-packed musical numbers are intertwined throughout the madness. In the midst of the big political debate and battle for mankind will the heroes save the day? Take a guess. Go on. Guess. American Rescue Squad to the rescue.

Written by Elliot and Adam Diviney, directed by Elliot Diviney; starring Tony D. Czech, Douglas Sidney, and KariAnn Craig.
