When Art and Traditional fashion Collide

I recently received an e-mail from Fatima Al Absi, a Bahraini emerging fashion designer who started her label F Couture in 2010 after graduating from The Royal University for Women majoring in fashion design.
She has started designing eveningwear but then found her calling in caftans. "I was raised by a mother that taught me that being different is the right way to be and standing out is a must in fashion! And that’s not all that made me who I am my father is a Bahraini artist with an eye for color and everything traditional.", expressed Fatima in her e-mail.
For this year’s Ramadan collection, Fatima collided her fashion design with her father’s art, making it one of the closest creations to her heart, and the most creative collaboration for us caftan/art lovers. I love the idea of wearing something traditional, like the beautifully painted featured bishts, with ripped jeans or anything contempo. I wonder what the designer has for us next, as we wouldn't settle for anything less beautiful than this.
