Innisfree Mineral Single Cream Eyeshadow Review

The more I use Innisfree products, the more I find some odd gems – this Mineral Single Cream Eyeshadow is a rather nice little gem I recently discovered.

There are 5 natural wearable shades to choose from – I avoid buying overly dull cosmetics these days – whats the point, I have plenty of make up already but I couldn’t resist this pretty burgundy type shade:

There are 5 shades in the range, this one is No. 4.

The shades -

The other colour I would buy is 05 because I don’t really bother with overly pale/sheer/natural colours.

Now – this colour comes in a pot which is lightweight and plastic – easy to carry around. Insider has a ‘natural’ ethos which is why the packaging is always that dull looking cream colour by the way.

Swatch – love this colour. It’s a rich burgundy brownish warm shade which I know not everyone will like because of it’s warmth but I really love it – it has an almost coppery feel too. It’s super shimmer but rich at the same time with a lovely sheen.

One issue with this product is that it is quite thick – I like that it is opaque and offers great pigmentation compared to some pot cream shadows (I don’t see the point of super sheer eye colours unless they are specifically eye jellies or glosses) BUT there is a thickness too it (because it is like a dense mousse texture) which means it is somewhat thick, and can ball up a bit if you apply too much or take out too much at once. Much better to pat this on and layer it, but work quickly so it doesn’t dry between layers, because then it does build up and look too thick.

I used this on top of powder eyeshadow (just a bit too er lazy to remove it first) and it clung on and lasted ALL day. It also really looked deeply metallic and rich, which I love. On it’s own I noticed faint creasing – I would recommend using this with a primer, cream or powder base to prevent any creasing at all. Overall it still works nicely though on unprimed eyes, the creasing is minimal.

I have ordered shade no. 5 too because I think this will be a good product for doing quick metallic eyes with little effort (yeah I could do with more blending sorry! too tired to think these days):

For around £6 a pot, I’d totally recommend these if you like the shade choices!

I bought mine from eBay.
