Smoke and Melrose

It’s actually been awhile since I have been excited about Wet n Wild eyeshadow palettes. It all started with the Sand Castle palette, then around the time of their 8 pan palettes like Comfort Zone the quality started to wane. I became disappointed in the trios and other palettes that started coming out. Wet n Wild seems to be in an upswing, because I love every shadow in this palette.

Smoke and Melrose has a gorgeous collection of neutral toned shadows. The base is a nude pink with shimmer, definer is a glittery burgundy, eyelid is a shimmery taupe, crease is a shimmery coral, and the browbone (my favorite of the set) is a matte mauve. FYI, there are some Urban Decay dupes in this palette.

All shades have a nice texture, are very pigmented, and all apply well. If you want to see them in action, check out my eyeshadow in my MAC The Simpsons review. I used everything but the crease shade. The color wore well over primer (I never go without primer), and I got 8 hours of wear without fading (even the burgundy shade, which I thought would fade first). I am so happy to be excited again about Wet n Wild eyeshadows.

Smoke and Melrose palette is only $3.99 but it limited edition, so if you want to snag this beauty bargain don’t hesitate if you spot it.
