Glammin’ solo

I waited a good 48 hours after Mother’s day to share these images in order to feel like I’ve assimilated back into Second Life after a long weekend.

I realize blogging experts advise on consistency in order to draw traffic, but ya’ll, I’m an old old lady with a bad bad habit of taking breaks. And it is okay to do that sometimes :)

Of course traffic to your blog is important, in fact essential. But so is stepping back into your physical surroundings and drawing inspiration from the tangible. The thing about creativity I find the most compelling, is that you alone, hold the key to unlocking that ‘something’.

Going solo doesn’t have to mean shutting out the whole world, in fact, you are in the company of great minds whom all travel the same road and aim for the same destination. Whether you are blogging fashion, worlds, trends, the issues of the day, your blog is your baby and even babies need the space to grow.

So the next time fellow lurker, fellow blogger, fellow resident, that you feel the need to put on the observer’s hat and just read for reading’s sake, don’t feel guilty or remiss about what has to be done, what deadlines there are, or if Flickr is being a bad panda.

Okay maybe the bad panda might pushing it but I digress.

Instead, get into the minds of other creative souls and fester and linger there. It’ll only serve to inspire you :)
