Lots Of Snow In Northern Israel At Last!

This time the forecast for snow in the mountain areas of Israel, which includes Jerusalem as well as my little town in Northern Israel, was correct, yippee! The snow started to fall last night while I was burning the candle at both ends, and I was so happy to see the my kids would wake up to a very white view in the morning.

I caught a few birds twittering away on my balcony railing, as while there is snow, and it continues to snow lightly periodically throughout the day, it is actually not all that cold, somewhere around 4C, which means that much of the snow is now melting. Of course that is great for safety reasons since Shabbat is approaching and many will want to leave their homes to go to the synagogue or visit friends and family, but that also means that there may not be a whole lot of snow to play in on Sunday....

We'll just have to see what comes our way, I love having my kids home for snow days, and with so many crafting plans for Purim, a few days off from school with be great timing!
