Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs

A lot of dishes evoke special memories and a plate of spaghetti and meatballs can transport me back to when I first met G. It was one of the first meals he made for me, celebrating our first Valentine's Day and even though we had just started dating, he definitely knew the way to my heart. He makes a variation of this version every year, adding some crushed red pepper and thyme. It's one of my favorite traditions that feels a bit Lady-and-the-Tramp-meets-old-school-date-night and one that I look forward to each year.
