BLACK LEATHER JACKET & DARK MAXI DRESS

There is something irrevocably sexy about a black leather jacket beaten up by every season. Sun, rain, wind and snow. You name it, I have been there (with my jacket tied around my waist or draped around my shoulders).

It was a splurge many years ago but when I compare it to how many times I wore it during those years, it was a bargain. Every time I want to add a bit of edge to an outfit, feel sexy or cool, I pick her up. The funny thing about a well-cut leather jacket (especially the biker style) is that it goes well with anything. And it always looks cool, young and gives you that I-don’t-give-a-damn attitude. Especially if you follow the off-the-shoulder trend.

But before you set out to buy your first leather jacket, do your research. Good quality does not come cheap. Do you intend to wear it between seasons or in winter? What cut reflects your sense of style the best?

Rule number one- feel comfortable.

Rule number two- wear it often. Make a dent in it.

Rule number three- Be bold!

I am not suggesting to emulate The Sons of Anarchy. But you too can find your cause and fight for it. Even if it “only” means asking your school/work cafeteria to serve vegan food.

Whatever you are passionate about, do it. Rise like a phoenix from the ashes!

Oh, yeah! That is the power of the leather jacket- it makes you feel invincible and ready to tackle anything that life throws your way.
