Weight Loss With Medifast

I wanted to share about my husband’s weight loss journey he’s been on over the last several months. There are hundreds of ways to lose weight and it’s important to pick the way that’s best for you.

Wayne needed to lose at least 30 pounds. We had been talking about it for a while and he could not get motivated. I was of course nagging him about it.

We decided to try Medifast. Medifast is a disciplined plan (which is works best for Wayne, he couldn’t just cut back). You get to eat every two hours. Your daily diet will incorporate a mix of Medifast meal replacements and real food — keeping you satisfied while you lose weight.

Wayne has a high stress job (senior pastor) has had a grandfather who passed away from a heart attack and he takes medication for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Yikes!

(Wayne and I are as different as night and day when it comes to eating. I love to eat healthy and he, well, he loves fried everything. He eats healthy as long as I fix it for him. He’s notorious for sneaking and eating junk food behind my back!)

Here is Wayne before he began Medifast. I have no idea why he couldn’t smile but he said he was supposed to look sad. I think he was dreading what was coming. This picture was taken in February 2015.

This is Wayne now after being on the Medifast diet for around 3 months. His starting weight was 208 and he now weighs 175. He’s lost around 33 pounds. He is much happier!
Here are the before and after pictures side by side. He was wearing a size 38 jeans and he’s now wearing a size 34.
It’s amazing the difference! He feels so much better!!
Wayne did a great job and was committed to the program. Partly because we spent money on the food and once we did that there was no going back!

He liked that you can eat every two hours. You get one meal a day called the Lean and Green meal that you fix yourself (I fixed it for him). You can use organic meat and vegetables which I like.

Several of you have emailed me and said you need to lose 20 to 30 pounds so I wanted to share this option with you. I have a friend who is a health coach for Medifast and she helped us so much. We could not have done it without her!
