I am Happy | Scrapbooking Layout | “I am” by Simple Stories

And there it is again – the Monday blues! How can it be, that another weekend is over? I don’t know… Sometimes I really wonder, why time always flies so quickly when you are surrounded by lovely people, having a whale of a time or when you do things you love (scrapbooking for example ;) ).

It was similar over the Easter Weekend, when Mr Evans and I were off to an adventure! We visited Hurst Castle (more like a Fort) on the edge of the New Forest. I’ve always wanted to go there and on Easter Sunday it seemed a good day for it. When we walked across to the lighthouse I took this photo of Mr Evans, walking along the path and with some sailing boats in the background. You can call me soft here, but the only thing what I was feeling in that moment, is expressed in the layout’s title:

The papers from the Simple Stories collection “I am” do have a similar warm tone to it, so they fit perfectly to my photos I took this day. The layout itself was quickly scrapped. I mostly used the journaling cards sheet to add to the embellishment clusters, the stickers and the alphabet stickers from the sheet. In the end I was missing some darker accents and the wood grain washi tape I found in my stash served as a good addition.

I hope you are all going to have a good week. Maybe the weather is nice to us again?

Remember, there is a big blog post coming on Friday, and an online-crop with Happy Scrappy Friends on Saturday (details HERE) for the National Scrapbooking Day which I’m equally excited about!
