Otakon 2013 Outfits!

Actually, to be accurate, these are "The general vicinity of Otakon" outfits as I didn't actually purchase a badge this year.
Fortunately the tea party hosted again by Martha of Moss Marchen was outside the convention center. It was at the gorgeous Royal Sonesta hotel like usual. I'd really love to organize a tea there with the local community sometime, so many amazing photo locations and several beautiful tea rooms.
The theme was "royalty" this year. I originally planned on sculpting myself some gold antlers, but I ran a bit short on time, so I ended up spray-painting a crown gold and making a scepter from ribbons and a Chambord bottle (lolita booze wand!). I suppose my theme ended up "(Wonder) Party Princess".

So many gorgeous ladies!
The next day I went a bit sweeter with Dream Sky, as I intended to make it to the It's Sugar meet, but I was a little late unfortunately.

After some candy and non-lolita socializing in the inner harbor, I headed home and changed into my outfit for going to see Voltaire at Club Orpheus! I even dragged the ol' hair clips out of retirement.

Voltaire is quite a personality. I was talking to him before he performed and told him I saw him before at Anne Rice's Vampire Ball in New Orleans, and he was like "Oh yea, I remember that...it was horrible!" And then went on to tell me about all the chaos backstage. I told him I was just glad that he was nice to me at the time, and seemed to have everything under control as an MC, despite the stress he was apparently under. He just laughed and said "Showmanship!" and we toasted beer to rum bottle and it was pretty cool.
