'Look deep into the April face, a change is clearly taking place- looking for the summer...'

I have probably said it a million times already, but I am terribly sorry for being missing in action these days. As I have recently said, the end of the schoolyear is getting closer and I came to the conclusion that the teachers must have made a secret pact against us, constantly swamping us with tests and assignments. Truth be told, I have also been suffering from writer's block and decided to take some time off to collect my thoughts and focus on my studies. Now that I'm back, what I have prepared for you is a photo of some newbies in my closet.
A beige blouse with sheer sleeves- H&M Conscious Collection A polka dot dress- Primark (thrifted) A sleek dress with embroidered flowers- thrifted
Don't you just love it when a certain item has been on your wishlist forever and you happen to come across it when you're slowly starting to lose hope and least expect it? I have fallen in love with this H&M blouse as soon as the Conscious Collection lookbook saw the light of the day. Even though I have searched through various websites back and forth, the one in my size was nowhere to be found. You can only imagine how elated I was when someone finally offered to sell a brand new one for much less than it retailed for. It's perfect for slightly warmer days and I have gotten so many compliments on it already!
As I got home from school this afternoon, my mom offered to take me to the nearest thrift store, claiming that she has spotted a few interesting pieces the day before. Having been a little bit reluctant at first, I finally agreed- oh boy, am I happy that I changed my mind! Those of you who read my blog on a regular basis know that I have been craving a sleeveless chiffon dress from H&M for some time now (you can see the post here). I am still on the hunt for this one, but I came across a pretty similar polka dot dress instead. As I was swooning over how beautiful it was, it started pouring with rain making me 'trapped' inside. Waiting for the rain to stop, I had to keep myself entertained somehow, so I grabbed a few pieces and headed into the changing room. Not being particularly interested in the sleek dress with embroidered flowers at first, when I put it on, I immediately changed my mind- paired with my peep-toe pumps, it looked simply amazing. How could I possibly say no? I have also come across a dress from Asos for a mere $5, but unfortunately it wasn't my size- apparently destiny was trying to tell me that I would be too lucky if I managed to leave with three gems...
It's not like I would mind. Of course not.
What do you think about my recent purchases? Have you bought anything interesting lately? Feel free to share ♥
