Prairie Party

And just like that, I'm the mother of a 10 year old! For about the 5th year running she requested a prairie themed party. She scoured Pinterest and wrote down exactly how she wanted her table decorated, what food she'd like to have and what games to play. JR whipped up a wagon (towed behind the mower) as a surprise. Then he dressed up like 'Pa' and I dressed up like 'Ma'. I keep expecting her to grow out of the Little House on the Prairie phase, but it's kind of nice having her still happy to be a young girl and play imaginary games. Anyway, Jada declared it as a "perfect" day and she didn't know whether to cry from happiness or sadness (that it was over) at the end of it. (She left me the sweetest note in our Me&You notebook on my pillow that night - full of superlatives and emotion! Absolute gold :) ) So blessed to have had her as our firstborn these last 10 years.
