Penney + Bennett | New Printed Linen + Art
Ever since attending their launch party last year, I have been smitten with New Zealand brand
Penney Bennett. Bursting onto the interiors scene with their incredible printed silk and organic linen collection featured in this
New Noted post, it is impossible not to be wowed by the quality and uniqueness of the designs. Founded by Loren Marks and Sarah Carson, the fine art graduates who met at college "are devoted to creating simplicity, materiality and questioning the conventional in contemporary textile living ware." Having had the pleasure of using their stunning silk products in
this bedroom shoot, I leapt at the chance of styling their new range of products for today's post.
Part of the
Momoyama collection,
Penney Bennett have released their exquisite designs in a luxurious, heavyweight linen. Still available in silk, the linen provides an exciting variation and new textural element. Available in two sizes, you can purchase the cushions either unfilled, or with feather inners. Knowing only too well how beautifully the designs compliment one another, it makes sense that the pillowcases are sold individually rather than as a pair, allowing for customised styling choices.
To show how well they transition from the bedroom to the living room, here's a look at some of the new linen scatter cushions on our sofa. Along with favourites the
White Thatch and
Black Thatch designs, the
Blue Water and
Grey Water work in beautifully with my recently updated picture wall.
Penney Bennett have also launched their first range of
Art Prints. Hand gilded to achieve a unique, textured effect, no two
prints are exactly the same. Of course I couldn't resist including one on my wall, with the gorgeous
Blue Water Print shown above. Available in two sizes unframed, custom sizes can also be made on request.
For the bedroom styling I had a lot of fun layering patterns and playing with different design combinations. The options are endless, and regardless of what you choose the textural effect is simply heavenly. I love how some of the
art prints replicate the linens, and all feature pretty touches of gold.
Also available as
gift cards, these make lovely keepsakes or affordable little prints for your walls, as shown below.
