FOURTH OF JULY BACKYARD BASH

Will and I are going to be in Portland for my cousin’s wedding on July 4 this year so I decided to gather some talented friends and put together a festive backyard bash a couple weeks early. If you’re planning a patriotic get-together for the holiday weekend, I hope you’ll be inspired! From the calligraphy place cards and the pink and red florals to the fruit skewers and strawberry champagne, I was head over heels for every last detail. I had so much coordinating this shoot and hope to bring you tons more entertaining features in the months to come! Enjoy!

{The setting: a breezy summer day with striped director’s chairs out on the lawn}

{On the table: brass candlesticks, raffia placemats, red tulips, and pink peonies}

{Fourth of July fruit skewers with strawberries, bananas, and blueberries on a blue and white platter}

{Strawberry champagne on a nautical serving tray}

{Nothing says summer like a new pair of Jack Rogers}

{Coupe glasses filled with raspberries for a pop of color and healthy snacking}

{Watermelon stars on a USA serving platter}

{Cheers!}

{Ahoy and ginger jar matches to light candles as the sun goes down}

{Design is in the details: a watercolor stripe on calligraphy place cards}

{It wouldn’t be the Fourth of July without cherry hand pies — recipe coming soon!}

{One of my favorite dresses, three summers in a row}
