Architecture-Inspired Jewelry by Vika Mayzel
Vika Mayzel is a young Israeli designer who recently graduated from Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel. Despite being a recent graduate, Vika has already been very active in the design world, showing at the London Design Festival and Prague Design Week.
Her recent collection, The Sharp Poetry, takes inspiration from nature and reptiles, modern architecture, and Egon Schiele drawings. From black detailing to sharp edges, the collection features a mostly silver palette with unique textural accents. Many pieces have a smooth, curved body that sits next to sharp lines or angular geometry. Knots are also a recurring theme, representing the continuous dialogue of art and jewelry in her work.
