Love with Food

Hi, guys! Look at me all up in your business on a Thursday… it’s like, you can’t get away from me! Pshhht! ONLY I’m here for a very good reason – giving back.

But first, reflections. At this moment I am sippin’ on some coffee, eating a petite vanilla scone, and showering my little girl with birthday kisses – she’s now all of 3 years old!

Birthday Cake Ice Cream and all-things Elsa are on today’s agenda! Dresses, tiaras and heels all day long! (WELP!)

I am very aware of how lucky my girls are to always have all the things that they need – loving parents, comfortable home, delicious food, an awesome family, wonderful friends, and lots of LOVE! I love them so much, I pray they never have to go through a hard time, and for as long as I am with them, I’ll take all that hardship away.

For this reason, today I am going to tell you about a company that donates a meal for EVERY box sold, helping end child hunger one meal at a time. I promise, this is worth a read.

Daily, I get a number of emails with a pitch about this and that; from asking me to sell their socks on my FOOD blog (?!?) to promoting their new bar/restaurant in Ohio. All legit things, but not something you all would care to read about, I’m sure. Therefore, 98% of the times I say NO.

BUT THEN, then… I get an email about a company helping end child hunger and I’m definitely on board.

Love with Food is about snacking smart, snacking on unique, hard-to-find tasty snacks all the while doing something good for a hungry child. They donate a meal to several food banks such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry, helping to put an end to hunger.

These children haven’t done anything wrong, but were just born or raised in the unfortunate circumstances of poverty. I think this is an amazing opportunity to not only try different, yet healthy snacks, but help the kids in need. It’s like, guilt-free snacking!

Here’s how all this works.

Every month the Love with Food Box is filled with items according to that month’s food-theme, and my May box was all about Fiesta in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

Everything was so pretty and so colorful, and I love the cute informative card that includes details of all the items in the box. Here you will also find which dietary program each snack fits into, such as gluten free, non-GMO, vegan, nut-free, etc…

In every box, Love with Food sends you eight or more healthful snacks for $10.00 a month. Bonus? The snacks are so darn good! Even the kale chips! I know, I was just as shocked. My husband, on the other hand, had to put in a full-size order for the Salt & Vinegar Corn Nuts. We quickly found out that if you find snacks that you love and need more of, you can order them online, straight from the Love with Food Shop. You can even request a gluten-free box if you follow a gluten-free diet.

Among other things, the Peanut Butter Thins Butter Crackers were amazing, but most of them went to my little babes, as did the delicious Hibiscus Creamed Honey and the nut-free cookies. All things sweet. Surprised?! Dentist bills are going to bankrupt me!

To be honest, receiving the box at home sure beats standing at T.J. Maxx for hours trying to curate my own little box of all-natural snacks, every month. And I pay a whole lot more than 10$ for fewer items. AND none of that comes with a free meal for anyone, so that’s that.

Getting back on point, you can also choose from Love with Food’s subscription plans to start receiving your very own red box right away AND gift options are also available. I got one for my parents and they love it!

Whatever your goals, if you are able to do so, let’s go ahead and spread the gift of giving and help a child by not letting them go to bed hungry. One box. One meal.
