• Animal Planet star Shorty Rossi and his canine companion Hercules will make a ‘Pit’ stop to pose with photos with fans, sign autographs and raise awareness of the need to help dogs who often find themselves unfairly hounded by prejudice.

Activities

• Talented tail-waggers will show off their skills as they work their way through weave poles, totter on a teeter and bound through tires during the agility demonstration. A Q&A will follow the display of the dogs’ dexterity, and one lucky pet parent and their pup will be chosen to try out the course.
• Wowing the crowd with their extraordinary abilities, audience applause will determine which clever canine will be deemed top dog in the Pet Talent Contest.
• Attendees can cheer for the dogs in disguises who will vie for prizes in the Pet Costume Contest.
• Pet parents can let their inner kid come out to play during a Rover-centric rendition of Musical Chairs.
• During Amazing Pet Expos in 2014 more than 1,500 companion animals across the country found forever homes, and the quest to pair pets with loving parents continues at the San Diego Pet Expo, which is also a mega-adoption event that will shine a spotlight on canines and cats from local area shelters and rescue groups.
• Other activities include prize giveaways, free nail trims, discounted vaccinations, microchipping and flea preventatives, the chance to shop for Spot among an array of vendor booths, and much more!
