San Francisco Giants to Host Dog Days of Summer

Baseball buffs and their barking buddies seated in the bleachers at AT&T Park will cheer for the San Francisco Giants at an upcoming Dog Days of Summer game as the home team steps up to the plate to help dogs and cats who need forever homes.

Taking place on August 29th, prior to the first pitch sports fans and their Spots can promenade on the field in a pre-game parade, and trend-setting tail-waggers will have the chance to show off their sense of style in a costume contest.

Hitting a home run in the hearts of animal lovers, a portion of each Dog Days ticket will benefit the San Francisco SPCA, a nonprofit which has given new leases on life to companion animals in need since its start in 1868.

Note: Dogs attending the game must be at least six months old and have ID tags and a current rabies vaccination. All dogs must be on a leash and stay with their pet parent at all times.

Tickets: $110 for a Dog Days combo ticket (one human and one four-legged fan) to see the San Francisco Giants face the St. Louis Cardinals

When: August 29, 2015

Where: AT&T Park at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in San Francisco, California
