Sigurd's 30th birthday

Preparing for Sigurd's suprise-dinner-party with 8 people was something entirely new for me and it felt like the ultimate housewife-test.

It was such a fun thing to execute, and although I usually get really stressed right before people show up - the evening went really great and all the preparation was totally worth it. We were a small bunch consisting of our family and closest friends - but it was the best evening I have had in a long time.

I love the thought of Sigurd having a great time. And when I look at the pictures of family and friends in our home (that is starting to feel more and more like a real home) I think to myself: How come I am not doing this more often?
