Hey peeps! Happy Wednesday! I thought it would be fun to do another “Lately” post to share what I’ve been up to

Watching: Sons of Anarchy (again), Bachelor in Paradise, and Chasing Life. SOA is Cody’s favorite show and since it’s on Netflix instant streaming, we’ve been watching it again. Bachelor in Paradise…I really want Ashley I. and Jared to work. I don’t think it will, but I actually really like Ashley I. so I want her to find love. And as far as Chasing Life goes, don’t watch it unless you want to cry. I should have known it would be sad because it’s a show about a 20-something girl who gets cancer, but I was not prepared for the sadness that happens in the middle of season 2.

Reading: Paper Towns. It’s an easy read (in regards to the writing style), but still really good. I like books that have either a love story or mystery, and this has both. Now I want to watch the movie Side note: When I buy books that are also movies, I refuse to buy the copy with the actors on it. Does anyone else do that?

Listening to:

Eating: In-N-Out and Jamba Juice. We’re remodeling our kitchen and we’ve had a few set backs, so this makes week 5 with no kitchen. Having no kitchen makes it hard to cook dinner, so we’ve been eating out a lot. I’m starting to get sick of eating out though and can’t wait to have a fully functioning kitchen so I can start cooking again. In case you were wondering (which you’re probably not), at In-N-Out, I get a hamburger ketchup only fries (I’m a super picky eater), and at Jamba Juice, I get a mega mango smoothie with spinach, double blended.

Wearing: This top, these jeans, and this lace bra. They’re all so comfortable! I’ve worn them together and with other items. They’ve been my go-to lately.

Using: VSCOcam and Snapchat. I know I’m probably way late in discovering VSCOcam, but I just downloaded the app a couple weeks ago and love it for editing my Instagram pictures. Also, Snapchat (follow me: elementsofellis) is quickly becoming my favorite social media. It’s right up there with Instagram.

Thinking: About how I’m going to decorate our living room once we finish with the kitchen remodel (which should be done by the end of this week! Yay!).

Wanting: To find the perfect TV stand for our living room (the one that’s open to the kitchen). Our decor is whites, greys, and tans, and we’re going for a rustic, modern feel. Any suggestions? We have an antique chest that we’re thinking about painting, but since it’s an antique, I don’t know if we should paint it.

Loving: Cody. Awe! That answer is so mushy I just about gagged. lol. I’m not a mushy-gushy person, so it’s not like me to be all, “Oh, my husband is so wonderful! Blah, blah, blah.” But Cody has been working super hard on our kitchen and downstairs bathroom remodel he’s been working a ton at work (he’s put in like 14 hour days and he’s worked weekends), so he deserves a little extra love, don’t you think? Oh, and I’ve also been loving my new snakeskin booties! Let’s get real, they might even be beating out Cody and all his hard work for my number one love. Jk. Sorta 😉
