Life lately according Instagram

I have been absent from this blog for what feels like a really long time. It is my space so I guess I am not accountable to anyone when I don't turn up, it just feels weird not regularly updating anymore. Life is always busy and I have been spending way to much time working recently instead of having adventures. Not that I should complain, I have had some awesome creative opportunities of late which have been pushing me to create some interesting things. I have no exciting pictures to share or stories to tell so this is pretty much a little post of my last month or so according to my instagram account.

I went to a charity exhibition at Ruck Rover General Store last month which was raising money for SAFE, an organisiation which rescues unwanted pets from being euthanized. I bought this piece by local artist Kate-Anna St Valentine. It is titled Owl Shaped Bruises and as soon as I saw it I knew it had to be mine. The beautiful flowers are from Beans & Bunches.

I have been spending a huge amount of time looking at this view on my day bed! I found this gorgeous silk peacock throw years ago in an op-shop for a real bargain price. It has moved around with us ever since.

This guy never gets bored of head scratches.

These two pieces are part of my Windows of the City installation. It has been a huge undertaking and I am so close to finishing it off now and getting ready to install it all this Sunday!!!!

This brooch is by local artist Lisa Max. We have never met and when I saw if for sale at the Made on the Left Markets I was so amused. It is me!! Right down to the shape of the glasses! Of course I now own it and whenever I wear it I get asked "is that you?!!".

We pulled our first vegetable harvest the other week. Since then we have had lots more carrots and some more beetroot are ready now. I don't think there is anything more rewarding than growing your own food.

Mr Jim. What can I say. He is so handsome.

This has been my view from the train station in the mornings. I hate early starts but the beauty of a sunrise makes getting out of bed in the dark a little easier.
