Diptyque Event | November 2012

Last week I posted a photo on instagram (essie_button) live from a Diptyque event! I don't normally post about events but I thought this one was a bit different and kind of interesting!
If you're not familiar with the brand you can read about their story HERE! They sell candles, home fragrances, personal fragrances, gifts and body care. It's kind of fascinating to me actually!

The Brook St. W1K shop in particular is absolutely stunning. I'd highly recommend just going in and having a gander at all of their different products. Right down to the fine details-Diptyque does it right. It's something different to the rest of the brands out there and feels truly luxurious. The scents are so unique and absolutely GORGEOUS!
This is the first duet candle from Diptyque. It layers two scents (Roses/Baies) & will be launched in time for Valentines Day. I must say-I WILL BE PURCHASING THIS ASAP. Absolute stunner.
Volutes Perfume-£50, Opopanax Candle-£38 Of course I couldn't leave empty handed. I bought a fragrance called Volutes & a candle by the name of Opopanax.
Opopanax This candle is technically in the "woody" family but it's very soft & has some vanilla in it too. Note-TRIM THE WICK on these candles or else your place will be covered in soot!
Volutes I really wasn't anticipating to fall in love with a perfume as I'm very true to Chloé, but this caught me by surprise and I couldn't go home without it! It smells a bit like vanilla, honey, amber & tobacco but is slightly spicy. There is a story to each fragrance and the whole thing is just so chic-more on this later.
Eau Duelle Solid Perfume*-£28 "Vanilla is refined between shadow and light. Brightened up by a vibrant top note of cold spices, then made sensual by black frankincense, its powers of seduction are devishly engaging."
Well, I think that description pretty much sums it up, haha! The solid perfume is weighty and would make such a gorgeous gift. The packaging of Diptyque products is absolutely DIVINE! You can't say a bad thing about it.

As you can tell, I'm in absolute awe of the brand. Have you ever treated yourself to anything by Diptyque? Have you ever been into one of their shops? You can also see their products in department stores like John Lewis & Liberty.
