Paris Sites: Up L’Arc De Triomphe

While the Eiffel Tower tends to be the aerial view of the city that people focus on, I actually prefer the view offered by Paris’ L’Arc De Triomphe. Not only are the lines shorter and entrance fees cheaper (even free if you are a European citizen), but it also offers detailed views onto Paris’ most beautiful streets. And, as an added plus, it’s the perfect place to get stunning Eiffel Tower shots. While waiting in line, be sure to soak in the stunning details on the arc itself, and read up about its history in the tunnel beneath Place Charles de Gaulle.

Hope this post inspires you to visit the slightly less popular arc, even if your trip is short. Don’t forget to bring your camera (and layers a beanie in the winter!).
