MOLETON

A new outfit post, eventually, after weeks of ‘jet lag’, for the winter break has already got me into a vicious circle of slipslop. In the case that I’m in Shenzhen right now, redundant winter coats can temporarily find their places behind the wardrobe, while subtropical weather allows me a flexible variation of dressing, ranging from resort looks to pre-fall pieces, or even wearing my flirty summer shorts. To be honest, it’s a bit tougher to interpret a highbrow runway signifier like this ‘Moleton’ pullover by Peter Pilotto to linguistic language in realway. Since reproducing head-to-toe Pilotto ensemble is not what I long for, nor my physical figure will give me the permission, I go for a brisk appropriation of slouchy simplicity that is added with a theatrical touch. Whether will you consider those textural mesh-like knitted cables as futuristic creations or feel distaste for them like old-time disco shame, they are well put together with casual striped shorts and Smiths.

I’m wearing…

Peter Pilotto ‘Moleton’ pullover | Zara shirt & striped shorts | Adidas Originals Stan Smith sneakers | Kenzo mesh pouch
