Today's look is inspired by the book,
The Weight of Water, by Anita Shreve:
As I said in
my post last week, I absolutely loved this book. I love how Shreve writes and, for some reason, her descriptions of Norway reminded me of Oregon. I was able to connect to this book in a way I wasn't able to with the other books I read. So, I guess it makes sense that I'd be sartorially inspired by the book.
Here is my outfit:
Much of the book takes place in the North Atlantic, off the coast of Massachusetts so I thought winter white and chambray was a good way to go.
Shirt: LOFT Cardigan:
Gap Jeans:
Old Navy Necklace: Modcloth (
similar) Boots: Born Crown (
similar)
The cardigan also works with the theme. Gap calls it a fishnet pattern, but it also looks to me like waves:
Either way, this outfit gave me a sense of the sea that I think worked for this book.
